Graduation Rate Continues to Rise

I'm very excited about Springfield ISD's future and the tremendous strides we’re making towards our vision of graduating each and every student prepared for a successful post-secondary transition.

The 2013 graduation rate reflects a commitment to our district’s vision and the advantage to learn, lead and belong to Springfield ISD. We have a PreK-12 comprehensive plan to obtain our vision and the current graduation rate has not yet felt the impact of everything that is occurring in preschool and our elementary classrooms. We have new literacy and math curriculum that is accelerating the learning of all students. We are also training all intervention teachers in CIM (comprehensive intervention model) through a Univ. of Northern Iowa partnership. We are moving closer to our goal of having each and every child reading at grade level prior to leaving 1st grade and accelerating students who are ready beyond grade level. This will all but assure our vision becomes reality.
