High school rivalries are as much a part of the school experience as school lunch, the tardy bell and attending games and dances. Student body officers from every high school in Davis School District are attempting to change the narrative and build stronger bonds by attending the First Annual DSD Officer Social held on Nov. 27 at Farmington High School.
"The students are hoping to build a legacy of sportsmanship and camaraderie with one another," said FHS Student Government Advisor Celia Larson.
The first ever dinner and social was a great success with over 150 students in attendance and all nine high schools represented. The long-term goal is for this district-wide collaboration and team-building event to become an annual tradition to be hosted at a different school each year on a rotating schedule.
